You are invited to the Saigon Chamber Ensemble’s Spring Concert 2010!
The Saigon Chamber Ensemble (SCE), distinguished for its alluring and entertaining performances of diversified music from classical favorites, Western pop/light jazz, and Vietnamese traditional and pop, presents its 14th annual Spring Concert at Le Petit Trianon Theatre on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 7:30 p.m.
Highlights of the program include classical masterpieces Vivaldi’s Summer, Mozart’s Serenata Norturna, Chopin’s Etude in E; memorable movie soundtracks Romeo and Juliet’s A Time for Us, Scent of A Woman’s Por Una Cabeza, The Thomas Crown Affair’s The Windmills of Your Mind, Le Professionel’s Chi Mai, Mulan’s Reflection; endearing Vietnamese melodies Hoang Trong’s Ngan Thu Ao Tim, Nguyen Hien’s Ngan Nam May Bay, traditional Ly Ngua O. Joined by returning guests conductor Nguyen Khanh Hong and vocalist Nguyen Bich-Van, SCE will also fascinate the audience with Strauss’ The Blue Danube, Pham Dinh Chuong’s Nua Hon Thuong Dau and Chauliac’s/Trenet’s Que Rest-t-il de Nos Amours. Furthermore, the program will be enlightening with special guest MC Pham Hung.
Tickets prices are $25 (general) and $40 (sponsor/VIP) available at Huong Giang Music, Lion Plaza, 1816 Tully Road, Suite 170, San Jose, California, or at the door one hour prior to the concert time.
