Dear friends, music lovers and supporters,

We would like to invite you, your family and friends to our 20th Anniversary Concert which will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at Trianon Theatre. The program will feature virtuosic classical works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Rossini, Grieg, Copland and romantic melodies from Vietnam and around the world.

Highlights of the program include excerpts from Vivaldi's Autumn from The Four Seasons, Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Piano Concerto No.21, Grieg's Holberg Suite, Copland's Hoe-Down from the Rodeo; world top popular songs Besame Mucho, A Time for Us from Romeo & Juliet, Come What May from Moulin Rouge; Vietnamese delightful melodies by Doan Chuan, Nguyen Hien, Duc Huy and Ngo Thuy Mien. Joining us this year will be returning guest conductor Nguyen Khanh Hong, vocalists Bao Chau and Pham Ha.

Ticket prices are $25 (general) and $40 (sponsor/VIP) available now at Huong Giang Music, Lion Plaza, 1816 Tully Road, Suite 170, San Jose, California or at the door one hour prior to the concert. Formed in the Fall of 1996, Saigon Chamber Ensemble (SCE) consists of Western classical musicians of Vietnamese heritage, who are now living around the Bay Area. Their first concert took place in December 1996 at Alum Rock Covenant Church in San Jose. Although SCE’s primary focus is instrumental music, it also welcomes opportunities to present Western and Vietnamese vocal music with guest artists such as Thái Hin, Bích Liên, Thu Hà, Nguyn Thành Vân, Nguyn Hng Quang, Bích-Vân, Tú-Lan, Annie Nguyn, Bo-Châu, Phm Hà, and Đình Bảo.
